Heresy has added another member to the Guild.

We welcome Josh Caple from NSW, as our NSW/Thredbo/Jindy/Perisher Rep. So for all things NSW, drop Josh an email at heresy@joshcaple.com.

You can read more about what he thinks about us on his blog; here.

Here's a pic of him smashing Niseko pow on his 2007 Heresy Black Sheep 155 twin.

Heresy Anti-whaling tee

This is why whaling needs to stop. Seriously, this is not funny anymore. Heresy is not happy.

We don't know who has Copyright on the below image, sorry.

Life is short and to be grabbed a hold of, and shaken to death. Who we are is marked by what we do. We strongly believe that the greatest act as a human, is to act on principle for those who can't speak for or defend themselves.

We are absolutely committed to the world around us - both its ecological systems and also to our fellow humans.

Thus, we have instituted a Social and Environmental Awareness Series of products. You all know of our committment to sustainability in the manufacturing process and toward the proper and fair treatment of those making our stuff.

We thought it was time to do something to give back to the world around us that gives so much.

Our first edition of the SEAS series is an anti-whaling tshirt. This tshirt is made with organic cotton and comes in 2 colours; organic/natural (with sick green thread) and black. The artwork is posted on our page. The art will be printed black on the organic tees and white on the black tees. Nearly 100% percent of the profit from each shirt will be donated to Sea Shepherd - this equates to around $15 per shirt.

So as well as getting an awesome tee, you will be directly helping stop this horrendous practice.

Some of you might disagree with Sea Shepherd's methods but multi-lateral diplomacy is clearly failing. It seems as though uni-lateral direct action is needed. Currently we support Sea Shepherd's methods, but should these be deemed illegal, we will redirect the funds elsewhere to help in an effective manner.

Even if you don't agree with us on this, that's cool, just have a look at the picture we've posted for the news item for this to see why we do not like this practice.

Thanks to Dan Marsh of The Red Eyes (http://myspace.com/themightyredeyes) for the art.

We'll be doing a few of these for other causes as well, so stay tuned. If you'd like to get involved in the artwork, please email us.

The tshirts are now available at:

Heresy News - 18 May 2008

Hi there fellow shredders - a brief Heresy update. You can get all the latest news in full at http://heresysnowboarding.com.

1. Whale tees

2. Boards

Our new boards are two weeks away - pictures are posted on our blog at m and should be available for sale on our store within 3 weeks. They're selling quick on pre-sale so if you want want, jump in soon.

We're super excited about this year's lineup. It is our most balanced and complete lineup yet. Again we have concentrated of park weapons, but have produced some directional twins as well. The D-twin is only available in the Guild of Powder Assassins board and has the stance back one inch.

----------------------------------------
3. New gear

The new gear is continuing to flow in based on sampling across the southern summer and we've added some scarves and rad new beanies to the lineup. Photos for these items, as well as another couple of new hoodies, tees, and girls singlets, will appear on the store over the next few weeks.

----------------------------------------
4. CMYK09 Ltd Ed Snowboard

We have one remaining 2009 sample CMYK Ltd Ed snowboard left in a 157cm length. We only produced a few of these this summer as sampling for next year. So if you want a 2009 Heresy park weapon, check it out on the store at http://www.heresysnow.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=51&zenid=e3bdd7948b0070c9d9833e16feb739a4.
This design will probably not run next year, so if you want to be one of only a handful rocking this art, you know what to do.

That's all for now, ride safe.
